Lots of focus will be on Japan’s PM Shinzo’s Abe news conference this Friday with intention to address questions concerning his health. There are also plans to outline the government’s response to the coronavirus.
A much anticipated address for sure – as it might potentially bringing insights into the government’s stand in battling the second wave of Coronavirus in Japan. The last news conference held by the PM was on June 18.
In terms of currency, the AUD/JPY was seen to hit a one month high – on the back of improved risk appetite. It hit 76.77 – the highest level since July 22. As for USD/JPY – it is holding the higher ground near 106.50 – which is underpinned by broad US Dollar rebound.
