Morning market update 04 01 2022:
DXY back over 96.00 after it's retrace last week, last night had US Construction Spending (MoM) (Nov) coming in at 0.4% slightly down on expectations of 0.6% and Markit Manufacturing PMI (Dec). Today there is the OPEC Meeting at 17:00 GMT+8 and at 23:00 GMT+8 the US ISM Manufacturing PMI (Dec) expected to be 60.2. AUDUSD had a significant pull back to the 0.7180 support level with buying opportunities on watch although a lack of news out for the AUD makes for a tougher rebound chance. USDCAD dipping below the 1.2747 support level in the lead up to the OPEC Meeting Speech could well offer a selling opportunity if WTIUSD makes a move higher off the base it's formed at $75 USD per barrel.
